Two soldiers killed by terrorists in NWA mountains

RAWALPINDI: Two soldiers on Tuesday were killed by the terrorists as terrorists fired at a vehicle from the surrounding mountains in North Waziristan Agency (NWA).

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department of Pakistan army, 2nd Lieutenant Abdul Moeed and Sepoy Basharat were killed in the attack.

Both the soldiers were just 21 years of age. Moeed was a resident of Vehari, Burewala and was a pass out of Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) while Sepoy Basharat was a resident of Danyor, Gilgit. He had been serving Pakistan army for the last three years.

The killings of Pakistani soldiers at the hands of terrorists are on the rise as it is the third recorded incident in a span of just one month that soldiers of the armed forces were attacked and killed by terrorists.

Last month on November 22, Major Ishaq, 28, was killed in an attack in Dera Ismail Khan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa). Just 8 days earlier, Captain Junaid Hafeez and Sepoy Raham Sher were killed in Bajaur Agency when the militants attacked them from the other side of the Pak-Afghan border. Junaid, 24, was from Toba Tek Singh in Punjab while Raham Sher, 27, was a resident of Mardan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa).
