DADU: Two dialysis machines, an X-Ray machine and a bio chemistry laboratory machine have been made functional at Dadu Civil Hospital. Dr Razaq said that revolutionary steps towards improvement of the hospital would be taken and he had started a TCR test of hepatitis, which costs Rs 14,000 at other hospitals and private laboratories but at his hospital, the test would cost at Rs 600. He informed that poor patients who are not able to afford charges of the TCR test would be provided the test through welfare society fund. He said that Dadu district and sessions judge was monitoring the welfare fund. He said shortage of medical officers would be ended with fresh appointment of 55 male and female doctors, adding that the hospital was facing shortage of specialist doctors. He said the hospital was in dire need of a cardiac monitoring machine. He said it is the biggest hospital in Dadu and patients of neighbouring districts Qambar-Shahdad Kot, Larkana, Naushahro Feroze and Jamshoro were also visiting the hospital on daily basis. We need a burns and trauma centre as well as CT scan, MRI and digital X-ray machines. He said that training of 35 newly appointed female doctors, out of 55, was conducted and training of remaining male doctors would be started soon. He said there was need of a good environment in the hospital for patients and providing them facilities of fresh drinking water and medicines were need of the hour. He said hospital doors were open to all visitors and they could always see him for resolution of their complaints. He said he was paying particular attention towards cleanliness of the hospital.
