GUJRANWALA: Anti-corruption authorities have arrested three senior officers allegedly involved in a corruption case, while the court send all the three accused to jail on judicial remand. It was told that two years back roof of a newly constructed government girls primary school was collapsed and the Punjab chief minister had ordered an enquiry into the matter. After investigations it was revealed that three officers of the Building Department were allegedly responsible for using low quality material in construction of the school building. The authorities concerned had referred the matter to an anti-corruption team and after completion of three different enquiries the team in the light of inquiry reports raided and arrested three officers, including Rana Ghulam Mujtaba presently posted as XEN WASA Lahore, Abdul Ghafoor presently posted as XEN building Gujranwala and Muhammad Javed presently working as SDO Irrigation Gujrat. Later, all the three accused were presented before the court where a judicial magistrate ordered to send them jail on 14 days judicial remand. Separately, a man along with two sons died due to food poisoning. It was reported that Muhammad Saleem, 45, and his sons Amir Hamza (18), Amir (16) and Humera (22) ate chicken at home and later all they got unconscious. They were rushed to DHQ hospital where Saleem, Amir and Amir Hamza breathed their last while condition of Humera was told critical. Meanwhile, a security guard of DHQ hospital and heirs of a patient had a quarrel on Wednesday. It was told that heirs of a patient tried to enter the emergency ward while security guard stopped them from entering the ward. Both parties had an argument and later exchanged heavy blows.
