Following the championship match, FIFA announced the tournament’s major individual awards, continuing a tradition that has remained part of the World Cup for more than four decades. The honors recognized outstanding performances across different categories, rewarding players who consistently delivered exceptional displays throughout the competition.

Kylian Mbappé won the Golden Boot after finishing the tournament with an impressive 10 goals and four assists, leading all scorers in the competition. His remarkable achievement matched the record set by West Germany’s Gerd Müller in 1970, while Lionel Messi finished with eight goals and four assists and Jude Bellingham recorded seven goals with one assist.

The Golden Ball award went to the tournament’s best overall player, while Argentina captain Lionel Messi received the Silver Ball after another outstanding World Cup campaign. Meanwhile, Spain goalkeeper Unai Simón earned the Golden Glove for his excellent performances, including a composed display during the final that helped his team secure the championship.

Spain’s 19-year-old defender Pau Cubarsí received the Young Player Award after delivering mature performances throughout the tournament and emerging as one of football’s brightest rising stars. In addition, the Netherlands claimed the Fair Play Trophy after collecting only three yellow cards during their campaign, highlighting their disciplined approach despite exiting the competition in the Round of 32.
