Her husband, Jon McEwan, joined the conversation by encouraging her to stay positive as she looked ahead to the next phase of recovery. Callard agreed that maintaining an optimistic mindset would be important during the coming weeks. Although she felt relieved, she said the couple planned a quiet evening at home instead of celebrating the occasion.
Earlier, Callard had explained that her treatment schedule included 10 radiotherapy sessions spread over two weeks, with five consecutive treatment days followed by a weekend break before the remaining sessions. That carefully planned course has now been completed, allowing her to focus on recovery while waiting for further medical assessments in the months ahead.
