According to security sources, the operation is being conducted jointly by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and police. The latest actions targeted militant hideouts in difficult mountainous terrain through coordinated ground and aerial operations aimed at dismantling armed networks operating in the province.
Officials said the nine militants were located in remote areas where security forces launched intelligence-based strikes after gathering operational information. The operation is part of broader efforts to improve security, disrupt militant infrastructure and prevent future attacks in Balochistan.
Security sources stated that 52 militants have been killed since the launch of Operation Shaaban. They added that, when combined with other intelligence-based operations conducted since July 5, the total number of militants killed has reached 88.
Authorities said security personnel continue to conduct search and clearance operations in affected areas to identify additional militant hideouts and ensure that the targeted locations no longer pose a security threat. They maintained that coordination among military, paramilitary and police forces remains central to the ongoing campaign.
The latest developments come as Pakistan continues efforts to strengthen security in Balochistan following a series of recent militant attacks in the province. Officials have repeatedly stressed the importance of sustained intelligence-led operations to counter armed groups and restore stability in vulnerable regions.
