The Superintendent of Adiala Jail has revealed that power of attorney documents for the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Bushra Bibi were ready on June 16 in compliance with court orders, however, Barrister Salman Safdar didnt receive it deliberately before the scheduled hearing. In a response submitted to the Islamabad High Court, the jail superintendent stated that Barrister Salman Safdar was informed via text message on June 16, that the power of attorney documents were ready. However, the lawyer did not obtain them before the June 18 hearing, which the jail administration has termed an attempt to mislead the court.
