He explained that while people are naturally able to identify many physical differences-such as hot and cold or bitter and sweet-the distinction between lawful and unlawful is ultimately guided by human conscience, understanding and personal choice. He questioned why people, despite being aware of right and wrong, still engage in actions they themselves consider improper, arguing that the real issue lies in personal choices rather than lack of awareness.
Following his remarks, a social media user asked whether income from the entertainment industry could be considered halal or haram. Responding this comment, Nauman Ijaz said that the question reflected a ‘particular mindset’ and advised the user to remain happy while also focusing on self-reflection.
