Balochistan government sends Dr Mahnoor abroad for treatment

The Balochistan government has decided to send Dr Mahnoor Nasir abroad for advanced medical treatment following a serious acid attack incident in Quetta hospital. Officials confirmed that Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti approved the decision and directed immediate arrangements for her safe transfer to the United States for specialised care process initiation steps. A formal letter has already been issued to begin the overseas treatment procedure, while coordination efforts continue with medical authorities and administrative departments. The move aims to ensure the best possible recovery support for the injured doctor.

Moreover, Balochistan Chief Minister’s spokesperson Shahid Rind said that official procedures have been activated to facilitate Dr Mahnoor Nasir’s medical evacuation abroad without unnecessary delays. He added that government departments are working together to complete travel documentation, medical clearance, and logistics required for international treatment transfer process coordination stage. Authorities emphasized that the decision reflects the government’s commitment to providing advanced healthcare support in critical medical situations involving severe injuries. The process is being handled on priority due to the seriousness of her condition.

Meanwhile, officials confirmed that Dr Mahnoor Nasir is currently receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi under close medical supervision and continuous specialist care monitoring phase recovery stage. Doctors are focusing on stabilising her condition before she is transferred abroad for further treatment in the United States healthcare system advanced facility support plan. Medical teams are also assessing her progress to ensure she is fit for international travel under required safety protocols and clinical standards. Her condition remains under observation as treatment continues.

In addition, authorities stated that the victim suffered severe injuries after an acid attack at Sandeman Provincial Hospital in Quetta, which triggered immediate emergency response and hospital security concerns investigation phase development. Police reports confirmed that the incident occurred inside the general surgery ward, leading to urgent evacuation and transfer to a private medical facility for initial treatment care response stage action.
