The Rupee on Thursday appreciated by 1 paisa against the US Dollar in interbank trading and closed at Rs 278.26 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs278.27. According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 279.00 and Rs 279.40, respectively. The price of the Euro against the rupee decreased by Rs 3.03 and closed at Rs 319.93 from the previous day’s closing of Rs 322.96, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs 1.73, whereas the exchange rate of the British Pound witnessed a decrease of Rs 4.08 and closed at Rs 369.29 compared to the previous day’s Rs 373.37. The exchange rates of the Emirate Dirham and the Saudi Riyal came down by 01 and 02 paisa, closing at Rs 75.76 and Rs 74.13, respectively.
