Alibaba launches AI export platform for SMEs at Sialkot summit

Published on: May 24, 2026 11:01 AM

The “Future of Export AI Leadership Summit 2026” was held at Legacy by Sheraton, bringing together exporters, entrepreneurs and business leaders from across the region to discuss emerging trends in digital trade and artificial intelligence-driven export solutions, here on Saturday.

The high-profile summit featured speakers from Alibaba.com, including Roger Luo, Summer Gao and Ethan Wang.

Addressing participants, Ethan Wang announced the launch of Accio Work in Pakistan, describing it as an “Agentic Business Team for SMEs”.

He said the platform would provide small and medium-sized exporters with an autonomous, plug-and-play digital workforce capable of executing end-to-end business operations.

“Accio Work is not just a software tool, it is The Agentic Business Team for SMEs,” Wang said. “By integrating directly with platforms like Alibaba.com, it serves as a digital workforce that handles everything from market research and high-quality creative generation to customer engagement and store diagnostics.”

He added that the platform empowers Pakistani businesses by integrating specialized expert “Agent Skills” within a unified workspace, including market intelligence, operations and creative support, customer engagement and performance diagnostics.

Speaking on the occasion, Roger Luo said Alibaba.com had laid the foundation for digital trade growth in 2025 through trade assurance and expanded logistics initiatives and was now equipping sellers with AI-powered business solutions to enhance their competitiveness in global markets.

He said exporters from sectors such as textiles, sports goods and surgical instruments could particularly benefit from the technology-driven platform.

The summit focused on modern export strategies, digital transformation, global market trends and opportunities available for businesses through e-commerce platforms.

Participants also discussed the future of cross-border trade and the role of innovation in sustainable business growth.

A large number of exporters, manufacturers and young entrepreneurs attended the event and appreciated efforts aimed at bringing international expertise and technology-driven business knowledge to Sialkot.

Organizers termed the summit a significant step towards promoting digital exports and strengthening Pakistan’s presence in the global e-commerce industry.
