
A heat wave is expected to affect multiple regions of Pakistan from Monday until the end of the month. The development raises concerns for public health and travel during the upcoming Eid holidays. The warning highlights widespread impacts across major provinces.
The Meteorological Department said temperatures may rise up to seven degrees Celsius above normal. Director Irfan Virk stated that central and southern Punjab, Sindh, southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan will be most affected. The heat wave is expected to intensify conditions across the country.

Officials warned that extreme heat conditions may persist throughout the Eid period. They advised citizens to limit outdoor activities during peak daytime hours. People were encouraged to plan travel and recreational outings during cooler evening or night hours.
