
Pakistan has been named the “Country of Honour” at the World Drone Congress 2026 held in Shenzhen. The recognition highlights the country’s growing role in emerging technologies, including drones, blockchain, and digital assets. Officials said the development reflects rising international confidence in Pakistan’s tech potential.
State Minister and Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority Bilal bin Saqib represented Pakistan at the event. He delivered a keynote address attended by representatives from more than 120 countries. The congress placed Pakistan in the global spotlight for its digital innovation efforts.
