RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army personnel and members of the Bomb Disposal Squad foiled a major terrorist attack in Rawalpindi by recovering suicide jackets from an important road of the garrison city. According to details, three explosive jackets were found in a shopping bag in Saddar area along The Mall. Sources said that law enforcement teams arrived at the location just in time. While two of the suicide jackets in shopping bag exploded, one jacket was defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad personnel. No casualties were reported in the successful operation. However, the incident spread terror amongst the residents of Rawalpindi. Security forces have now issued high alert in the city and contingents are deployed at sensitive points.
