Aunt arrested in nephew kidnapping ransom case for France plan

Published on: April 27, 2026 5:36 PM

Police in Quetta have uncovered a shocking kidnapping case in which a four-year-old boy was allegedly abducted for a ransom demand linked to overseas travel plans. Authorities confirmed that investigators from the Serious Crime Investigation Wing led the operation after receiving reports of the missing child and suspicious family activity. The case quickly gained attention as early findings pointed toward an unexpected suspect within the child’s close relatives. Officials said the investigation revealed financial motives connected to international travel aspirations.

Investigators later identified the main suspect as the child’s aunt, who was also a medical student pursuing professional studies at a local institution in the region. Police stated that she allegedly planned the kidnapping of her cousin’s young son to arrange a ransom payment for personal financial needs. The discovery surprised the family deeply, as initial assumptions suggested an unknown criminal group might be involved in the abduction. Authorities confirmed that the suspect used her family connection to gain access to the child.

According to investigators, the suspect reportedly intended to travel to France for further education and aimed to become a doctor through opportunities abroad. Officials stated that she allegedly set a ransom demand of sixty thousand dollars to fund her travel and education expenses outside the country. The plan reportedly involved coordinating with other individuals who are now also under investigation by law enforcement teams. Police emphasized that the motive appeared financially driven rather than based on personal family disputes alone.

The Serious Crime Investigation Wing confirmed that the kidnapped child was the four-year-old son of the suspect’s cousin, making the case a deeply sensitive family matter. Authorities stated that the child was allegedly held for ransom under a pre-planned scheme involving multiple suspects operating together in coordination. Officials added that the ransom demand created urgency in the investigation as teams worked to trace communications and financial links connected to the case. Police have not yet disclosed full details about how the child was ultimately recovered.

Law enforcement officials further reported that additional suspects may be involved in assisting the kidnapping and facilitating ransom-related activities during the incident timeline. Raids are currently underway in different areas as investigators attempt to arrest remaining individuals linked to the planning and execution of the crime. Authorities stated that digital evidence and financial tracking are being reviewed to establish the full scope of the network involved in the case. Officials assured that further updates will be shared as the investigation continues to progress.

The case has raised serious concerns about trust within families and the misuse of personal relationships for criminal financial gain in sensitive situations. Authorities emphasized that strict legal action will be taken against all individuals found responsible for involvement in the kidnapping and ransom planning process. Meanwhile, the recovery of the child has provided relief to the family, although many questions remain about how the situation developed internally. Investigators continue working to ensure accountability and prevent similar incidents in the future.
