The Iranian foreign minister is currently in Russia to hold consultations with senior officials, including a planned meeting with Vladimir Putin. He said the discussions would focus on the evolving situation in the region and coordination between Tehran and Moscow on key international issues.

Highlighting the Islamabad visit, Araghchi said Pakistan played a meaningful role in facilitating dialogue and maintaining communication channels during a period of heightened tensions. He emphasised that continued engagement and consultation remain essential for promoting regional stability.

Referring to his earlier visit to Oman, the minister said talks also covered the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global shipping route. He stressed that as coastal states, Iran and Oman share common interests in ensuring safe and secure maritime transit.

Araghchi added that both countries agreed to maintain close coordination at multiple levels, including expert-level discussions, to safeguard mutual interests and address emerging challenges.
