Policemen among nine injured in Bajaur ambush

At least nine people including policemen sustained injuries when a police and ambulance vehicle was ambushed by unknown miscreants.

Bajaur police spokesman told reporters on Saturday that in the Rashkai area of Khar tehsil in Bajaur, unidentified outlaws opened fire on a police vehicle and rescue ambulance, injuring 9 people, including 5 police personnel.

The spokesman said a total of nine people were injured in the incident, including a rescue driver and three civilians. After the incident, a heavy police contingent cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.

Several Militants killed in Balochistan

Meanwhile, security forces successfully foiled an attack by Fitna al-Hindustan in the Dhadar area of Balochistan, resulting in the killing of multiple terrorists.

According to Balochistan Interior Assistant Babar Yousafzai, several militants were killed during the operation. He confirmed that one brave security personnel embraced martyrdom in the Dhadar attack, while a clearance and search operation has been launched in the area.

He stated that the terrorists attempted to carry out the attack under the cover of darkness, but security forces were already on high alert. The personnel responded immediately and confronted the attackers firmly.

Babar Yousafzai said that the sacrifice of the martyred soldier for the protection of the homeland will always be remembered by the nation, adding that every conspiracy of Fitna al-Hindustan will be foiled.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security personnel who embraced martyrdom while bravely resisting the terrorists and prayed for patience for the bereaved family. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism from the country.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also lauded the police and CTD for successfully foiling the attack, paying tribute to the martyred official.
