US President Donald Trump has expressed optimism that a second round of talks with Iran could take place on Friday, saying positive developments are expected. His remarks come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to ease regional tensions and advance negotiations.

Speaking to an American newspaper, Trump said he has instructed US forces to remain prepared for all possible scenarios. He emphasized that the situation remains sensitive but suggested diplomatic progress is possible in the coming discussions.

The US president said the second round of Iran talks may be held later this week and indicated that “good news” could emerge from the negotiations. His comments reflect cautious optimism about the diplomatic process.

Trump also referenced broader ceasefire-related developments, stating that military actions had been paused following requests linked to regional leadership consultations. He suggested that the truce would remain in place while talks continue.
