WhatsApp is working on a new security feature aimed at strengthening user privacy and account protection. The feature has been spotted in the latest Android beta version and is currently under development. It is expected to give users better control over their linked devices.
The new update will introduce a real-time monitoring system for all linked devices. Instead of manually checking active sessions, users will receive instant alerts when their account is used on another device. The feature is designed to improve transparency and security.

Currently, WhatsApp users must navigate to the linked devices menu to check active sessions. The new alert system will simplify this process by notifying users automatically of simultaneous activity. This will help detect unauthorized access more quickly.
The notification system will activate whenever a linked device is used alongside the primary phone. Users will immediately be informed if their account is accessed elsewhere. The feature aims to reduce risks of account misuse and improve privacy control.

Users will also have the option to enable or disable these alerts based on preference. Since the feature is still in beta testing, its global rollout timeline has not yet been confirmed. WhatsApp is expected to refine it further before public release.
