Zendaya shifts from glam to “Dune” look at CinemaCon

Published on: April 15, 2026 4:59 PM

Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya surprise CinemaCon with “Dune: Part Three”'s opening scene: Here's what we saw - AOL

Zendaya embraced a new cinematic era at CinemaCon 2026, trading her recent The Drama promotional glam for a more muted, sand-inspired aesthetic aligned with the upcoming Dune: Part Three. The actor appeared at The Dolby Colosseum in Las Vegas on Tuesday, drawing attention for her coordinated look and subtle thematic styling as Warner Bros showcased new footage from the film.

She wore a custom Schiaparelli Fall/Winter 2026 ensemble featuring a structured nude-toned blazer with sharp shoulders and a zippered front, paired with a matching pencil skirt. The outfit’s sand-like texture and faded hue quickly became a talking point among fashion commentators, who described the look as “sandworm chic” for its direct nod to the franchise’s desert setting.

Zendaya was joined by co-stars Timothée Chalamet and Jason Momoa, alongside director Denis Villeneuve, as the team presented the first seven minutes of the film during Warner Bros’ CinemaCon presentation. The appearance marked the beginning of the official promotional tour for the third installment, scheduled for theatrical release on December 18, 2026.

Following her previous The Drama promotional cycle, Zendaya and stylist Law Roach have continued their approach to method dressing, aligning red carpet choices with narrative themes from her projects. The CinemaCon look reflects a shift toward the desert palette central to Dune, reinforcing the film’s visual identity in its marketing rollout.

Industry observers noted that such coordinated styling has become increasingly common among major film franchises seeking cohesive promotional storytelling. Fans on social media reacted positively to the appearance, praising the seamless blend of fashion and film worldbuilding. The promotional campaign for Dune: Part Three is expected to continue throughout the year ahead of its global release.
