
Following the launch of Operation Ghazb-ul-Haq against terrorists in Afghanistan on the night of February 26–27, 2026, Pakistan has seen a significant reduction in terror incidents. A report by the Center for Research and Security Studies (CRSS) revealed a 59 percent decrease in terrorism cases in March compared to February.
The report further stated that in the first three months of 2026, overall terrorist incidents in Pakistan declined by 18 percent. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded a 57 percent reduction in attacks compared to the previous quarter, with other cities also showing notable declines.

Compared to the same period last year, the first quarter of 2026 shows a clear decrease in terrorist activity, reflecting the effectiveness of coordinated military operations. The report highlights that targeted operations have been lethal and successful in neutralizing terrorist threats.
Despite the decline, the report noted that terrorists carried out attacks on civilians in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad, emphasizing the continued need for vigilance and counterterrorism measures.

Authorities and analysts hailed the operation’s impact, stating that such coordinated military efforts are critical to maintaining national security and reducing the threat of terrorism across Pakistan.
