CM Bugti reaffirms commitment to national unity on Pakistan Day

Published on: March 24, 2026 12:53 AM

Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has reaffirmed the province’s unwavering commitment to the stability and integrity of Pakistan, declaring that the people of Balochistan have always acted as a “frontline force” in safeguarding the nation.

In a special message marking Pakistan Day, Bugti described March 23 as a landmark date in the country’s history, reminding citizens of the immense sacrifices made for the creation of an independent homeland for Muslims of the subcontinent.

He highlighted the historic importance of the Lahore Resolution, noting that it laid the foundation for a separate state under the dynamic leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Bugti said the day serves as a powerful reminder of the guiding principles of unity, faith, and discipline-values that remain crucial for national progress.

The chief minister urged citizens to rise above personal interests and work collectively for the development and prosperity of the country. He stressed that the progress of Balochistan is intrinsically linked to the progress of Pakistan as a whole.

Reiterating his government’s commitment, Bugti said all available resources would be utilized to ensure public welfare, sustainable peace, and the writ of the state across the province. He called for national unity in the fight against terrorism and extremism, asserting that the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army and security institutions would not go in vain.

Sarfraz Bugti emphasized the role of youth as a valuable national asset, underscoring the need to equip them with modern education and skills to secure a brighter future. He added that efforts are underway in Balochistan to address public grievances through merit, transparency, and good governance.

Calling Pakistan a “bouquet of diverse cultures and languages,” he affirmed that all citizens enjoy equal rights within the state. Paying tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Movement, Bugti said their sacrifices continue to inspire the nation to remain proud and responsible citizens.

He concluded his message by urging the public to prioritize national interests above personal gains and prayed for Pakistan’s enduring peace, stability, and prosperity.
