In a decisive operation against illegal mining activities, Attock Khurd police have arrested four individuals allegedly involved in unauthorized gold extraction, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Station House Officer Malik Muhammad Naeem, who has spearheaded a targeted crackdown on illicit mining operations in the area. Acting on intelligence, the police team conducted a successful raid, leading to the arrest of the suspects and the seizure of machinery and equipment used in the illegal activity.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Malik Sajjad, a resident of Attock; Abbas Khan and Aziz Ali, both residents of Charsadda; and Wajid Ali from Swabi. Police officials stated that all machinery and tools used for illegal gold mining were taken into custody during the operation.
