
At least six terrorists were killed during a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) operation in Shagai, Lakki Marwat. The operation followed an explosion targeting a police vehicle near Rasul Khel check post on Friday. Six personnel, including a Station House Officer, were martyred and one officer injured in the blast.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the CTD officers for their successful operation against Fitna al-Khawarij in Shagai. He praised their professional capabilities for eliminating six terrorists and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fight terrorism.

PM Shehbaz vowed that the war against terrorism will continue until it is completely eradicated from Pakistan. He said the nation stands united with law enforcement in supporting their mission. The prime minister highlighted the courage and dedication of security personnel working day and night.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also commended the CTD Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for thwarting terrorist plans. He paid tribute to the bravery and professionalism of officers, calling their actions vital for lasting peace in the province.
