
The Kremlin said proposals by Russian President Vladimir Putin to mediate the Iran conflict remain available. Moscow said the offers aim to reduce tensions and encourage dialogue. The statement comes as the conflict continues to raise fears of wider regional instability.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia had offered several mediation options even before the military phase began. He noted that many of those proposals remain on the table. Peskov added that Russia is ready to assist if all sides agree to negotiations.

Peskov made the remarks a day after Putin spoke by phone with US President Donald Trump. According to the Kremlin, Putin shared ideas aimed at ending the Iran conflict quickly. However, the spokesman declined to disclose details of the proposals.
Trump later told reporters that Putin appeared willing to help address the Iran conflict. However, he said Russia could be more helpful by ending the war between Russia and Ukraine. The comment highlighted ongoing tensions between Washington and Moscow despite diplomatic contacts.

Russia, which maintains a strategic partnership with Iran, has condemned the US and Israeli strikes launched on February 28. At the same time, rising global oil prices have benefited the Russian economy. Officials also declined to comment on reports that Moscow may be sharing intelligence with Tehran.
