Iran rejects US talks, vows war

Published on: March 4, 2026 7:09 PM

Iran rejects talks with the United States and vows to continue the ongoing war. The statement escalates regional tensions and dims hopes for diplomatic de-escalation. Gulf states, Israel, and US forces face heightened security risks.

A senior adviser to the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said Tehran has no intention of negotiating with Washington. Mohammad Mokhber told state television that Iran does not trust the United States. He added that there is no basis for renewed negotiations. “We can continue the war as long as we want,” he said. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused US President Donald Trump of betraying diplomacy. He said complex nuclear talks cannot be treated like business deals.

At the same time, Israel signaled that Iran retains significant missile capabilities. Israeli military spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin said dozens of launchers were destroyed. However, he warned that Iran still poses serious threats. He stressed that Israeli defenses are not impenetrable. The conflict has already caused heavy casualties across Iran.

In addition, Iran’s retaliatory strikes have expanded into the Gulf. Qatar condemned Iranian attacks on its territory as unacceptable. A foreign ministry spokesman said the strikes targeted broader Qatari territory. Saudi Arabia said it intercepted a drone near its Ras Tanura refinery. Officials reported no damage from the attempted strike.

Furthermore, Kuwait said its forces detected inbound missiles and drones. The military confirmed it is working to intercept the threats. Air raid sirens sounded in Kuwait City during the incident. As the war enters a new phase, regional stability remains uncertain. Diplomatic channels appear frozen despite growing international concern.
