Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) announced that access to the Red Zone will remain restricted, allowing entry only via Margalla Road and the route through Marriott Hotel. All other points have been closed as part of heightened security arrangements. Authorities emphasized that these measures are necessary to ensure public safety and smooth traffic flow during sensitive operations or events in the area.
Commuters approaching from Club Road are advised to use Kashmir Chowk, Srinagar Highway, and Seventh Avenue before proceeding to Margalla Road. The ITP urged drivers to follow the designated route strictly to avoid delays and maintain orderly movement within the capital’s key administrative zone. These alternative routes are part of a coordinated traffic management plan.
