Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has decided to end the legal permission to keep pet lions across Punjab. She took this big decision while taking strict notice of the incident of 8-year-old child Wajid losing his arm. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, little Wajid was shifted to Ganga Ram Hospital, she also directed that Wajid be fitted with a modern bionic arm. According to official sources, the Chief Minister also directed that strict legal action would be taken against those who deliberately concealed the incident and amputated Wajid’s arm at the local hospital. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also directed that sympathy be expressed too little Wajid and his parents, and that the child be given complete medical care. It should be noted that an attempt was made to conceal the incident that took place on a private farm the owner of the farmhouse did not report the tragic incident to the police or the Wildlife Department. The police and the Wildlife department have arrested the suspects, an FIR was registered, and the cause of the wound on the child’s arm, was also given wrongly in a private hospital. However, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed to remove the provision on keeping wild cats from the law.
