
An international policy journal has praised Pakistan’s recent diplomatic engagement in Washington, describing it as a calculated and effective effort that strengthened Islamabad’s position in regional and global affairs.
The analysis highlighted that India faced diplomatic strain after a proposed presidential visit was denied and a steep tariff was imposed, signalling a cooling phase in Washington–New Delhi relations.

According to the assessment, Pakistan turned this shifting regional environment into an opportunity by publicly supporting the United States’ mediation role, which helped rebuild momentum in bilateral engagement.
High-level visits followed, including meetings at the White House involving Pakistan’s civilian and military leadership, which expanded discussions beyond security into trade, investment, and long-term cooperation frameworks.

The report noted that renewed counterterrorism coordination, tariff reductions, joint energy development plans, and defence cooperation marked a broader reset in Pakistan–US relations over recent months.
Concluding its review, the journal described these developments as evidence of disciplined and strategic diplomacy, showing how Pakistan leveraged dialogue and timing to strengthen partnerships during a sensitive geopolitical phase.
