Organised by the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication through a public-private partnership, Indus AI Week has been conceived as an open and inclusive platform for AI exploration. The programme will begin with the Indus AI Summit at Islamabad’s Jinnah Convention Centre on 9 February, followed by an Innovation, Learning and Engagement Arena at the Islamabad Sports Complex on 9 and 10 February.
Throughout the week, universities, companies and public bodies across the country will host co-branded events under the Indus AI Week banner. These activities are expected to feature technology showcases, startup spotlights, investor and founder networking, skills training and certification opportunities, gaming and experiential exhibitions, and public-facing engagement sessions.
Officials say the initiative seeks to demystify artificial intelligence, broaden access, and translate discourse into practical collaboration. Organisers expect participation from both local and international firms.
Speaking at the announcement, Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja said the initiative builds upon Pakistan’s National AI Policy introduced in 2025, which laid the groundwork for responsible and inclusive AI deployment.
