The announcement aims to provide students, teachers, and staff with a break during the winter season while ensuring minimal disruption to the academic calendar. Authorities have advised all institutions to make necessary preparations before the holidays and ensure a smooth resumption of classes in January.
This announcement comes shortly after the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government declared the winter vacation schedule for schools in the province. According to the KP Secretary of Education, institutions in the summer zone will remain closed from January 1 to January 15, while schools in the winter zone will be on break from December 22 to February 28. The schedule reflects the climatic differences across regions, allowing students to have an appropriate winter break.
Education officials have emphasized the importance of students utilizing the vacation productively. They encouraged parents to ensure children remain engaged in learning activities at home, while teachers are advised to plan lessons ahead for the smooth continuation of studies.
The federal and provincial schedules are part of annual efforts to standardize vacation periods while accommodating local weather conditions. Both authorities have stressed adherence to the announced dates to avoid confusion and maintain consistency across educational institutions.
