ISLAMABAD: The Federal Ministry of Education has announced the winter vacation schedule for federal government educational institutions. According to the notification, schools and colleges under federal administration will remain closed from December 26 to January 3. Academic activities are set to resume on January 5.

This announcement comes shortly after the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government declared the winter vacation schedule for schools in the province. According to the KP Secretary of Education, institutions in the summer zone will remain closed from January 1 to January 15, while schools in the winter zone will be on break from December 22 to February 28. The schedule reflects the climatic differences across regions, allowing students to have an appropriate winter break.
Education officials have emphasized the importance of students utilizing the vacation productively. They encouraged parents to ensure children remain engaged in learning activities at home, while teachers are advised to plan lessons ahead for the smooth continuation of studies.
