A special court in the federal capital on Monday rejected a pre-arrest bail request in a case involving alleged embezzlement of Rs 46.1 million from accounts maintained at the First Women Bank, leading to the arrest of the accused.
Special Judge Central Humayun Dilawar announced the decision after hearing arguments on the bail plea of Talha Rasool. Following the rejection of the application, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) took the accused into custody.
In the written order, the judge stated that the accused did not cooperate with the investigation and misused the relief of interim pre-arrest bail. On these grounds, the court dismissed the request and allowed the investigating agency to proceed with the arrest.
