The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has suspended four state cricketers over corruption allegations during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025.
The suspended players—Amit Sinha, Ishan Ahmed, Aman Tripathi, and Abhishek Thakuri—are accused of trying to influence their Assam teammates.
ACA Secretary Sanatan Das said the suspension is immediate to prevent further deterioration of the situation within the team.
During this period, the four cricketers cannot participate in state tournaments, ACA club matches, or any cricket-related activities.

An FIR was lodged with the Guwahati Crime Branch, and the BCCI’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit launched an investigation.
The inquiry found prima facie evidence of serious misconduct, which prompted ACA to take strict action to protect the sport’s integrity.
Assam’s team did not advance to the Super League stage, and the ACA urged clubs and academies to comply with the suspension.
