Netflix will release the Peaky Blinders film, The Immortal Man, on March 20. Cillian Murphy returns as Tommy Shelby. The film will also have a limited theatrical run before streaming.
Set in 1940, the story shows Tommy returning home after a self-imposed exile during World War II. The country is at war, and Steven Knight promises “full-on Peaky Blinders at war” with suspense and action.

Several original cast members are returning. Sophie Rundle plays Ada Thorne, while Stephen Graham and Ned Dennehy reprise their roles as family allies. Johnny Dogs and Curly also return, adding familiar faces to the plot.

The film is directed by Tom Harper, who worked on the series. Murphy said it feels “very gratifying” to revisit Tommy Shelby. The project is designed to thrill both fans and new viewers.

Netflix also plans two six-part sequel series set in the 1950s. Murphy will be executive producer, though his on-screen role is unclear. Fans can expect the Peaky Blinders story to expand further.
