Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with the foreign ministers of Slovenia, Netherlands, Cyprus, Denmark and Germany, wherein they discussed the matters of bilateral, regional and global importance.
The meetings were held here on the sidelines of 4th EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum.
In a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia Tanja Fajon, the two leaders discussed the full spectrum of bilateral relations and exchanged views on key regional and global developments.
Both sides also signed an MoU establishing the mechanism for Bilateral Political Consultations between the two countries.
DPM Dar invited Minister Fajon to Islamabad for the inaugural round of consultations and encouraged Slovenia’s participation in the Pak-EU Business Forum to be held in April 2026.
Both sides agreed to remain in regular contact, bilaterally and within multilateral frameworks, to further advance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
In a meeting with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Ishaq Dar appreciated the positive trajectory of Pak-Denmark relations. Both leaders exchanged views on enhancing bilateral cooperation in economy, investment, trade, green energy, and people-to-people exchanges.
They also agreed to maintain close contact at multilateral fora, particularly as fellow non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for the term 2025-26.
In the meeting with Foreign Minister of Cyprus Constantinos Kombos, both sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation in diverse fields and agreed to stay in close contact in this regard.
The deputy prime minister also met with Foreign Minister of Netherlands David van Weel in which they discussed areas of bilateral cooperation and noted with appreciation the positive trajectory of relations between Pakistan and the Netherlands.
Pakistan and Germany have reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen cooperation in defence, political, economic, trade and investment, and educational domains.
This came at a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul on the sidelines of the fourth EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum in Brussels.
The Deputy Prime Minister appreciated Germany’s commitment of 114 million euros for 2025-26, focused on climate and energy transition, sustainable economic development, vocational training, and social protection in Pakistan.Ishaq Dar also invited the German leadership to visit Pakistan.
During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Germany relations.
They also exchanged views on regional and global developments and agreed to maintain close dialogue to promote mutual understanding and enhance collaboration in areas of shared interest.
Meanwhile, Ishaq Dar also met with the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Philippines Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro on the sidelines of fourth EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum in Brussels.
The two sides reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and identified opportunities and possibilities for further mutual cooperation.
Both sides expressed satisfaction at their ongoing collaboration at the UN and other multilateral fora, especially through support to each other’s candidatures and reaffirmed their commitment to stay in close contact.
