Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday strongly condemned an attack on a peace committee office in Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, state-run APP reported. The attack, carried out by the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban (TTP), locally referred to as “Fitna-al-Khawarij,” resulted in the loss of precious lives, prompting deep grief and sorrow from the premier.

In an official statement, PM Shehbaz expressed his prayers for the elevation of the departed souls in Jannah and patience for their families. He emphasized that such cowardly acts, intended to sabotage peace efforts, reveal the malicious intent of anti-state elements to create unrest in Pakistan.

The prime minister directed relevant authorities to swiftly identify and bring the perpetrators to justice, ensuring they face the full force of the law. He reaffirmed that the nation stands united against all attempts to destabilize peace and security in the country.
