PML-N to sweep by-polls due to uplift projects: Talal

Published on: November 19, 2025 11:14 PM

State Minister for Interior Senator Talal Chaudhry on Tuesday said that the government’s ongoing development agenda and public-service performance would enable the party to secure a clean sweep in the upcoming by-elections.

Addressing the Jaranwala Bar, he said that most decisive factor behind this confidence was the rapid execution of key initiatives including Rs.4 billion development package, a soon-to-be-established university and the launch of Green Bus service between Faisalabad and Jaranwala.

He praised the legal fraternity for consistently playing a constructive role in upholding the constitution and rule of the law. He said that the government was committed to support institutions that protected democratic values and the lawyers had historically stood firm at critical national moments.

He said that development projects worth Rs.4 billion were already in progress in Jaranwala, reflecting the provincial government’s resolve to uplift infrastructure and essential civic amenities.

He said that Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz had issued special directives for establishing a university in Jaranwala. This project would soon materialize and expand higher-education access for youth of the region, he added.

He said that Green Bus service between Faisalabad and Jaranwala was set to be inaugurated shortly, marking another step for improving urban mobility and public convenience.

He said the PML-N government would continue its efforts to strengthen education and health sectors for ensuring long-term improvements in social welfare.

Reflecting on his own political journey, Talal Chaudhry said that when he was disqualified, no lawyer across Pakistan was initially willing to take up his case, yet changing circumstances ultimately vindicated him.

He said that he stood committed to play a constructive role in bridging gaps between police and lawyers particularly concerning recent FIRs registered against members of the legal community.
