
ISLAMABAD – Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Cadet College Wana on Saturday to meet with Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel who successfully thwarted a recent terrorist attack. Upon arrival, he was welcomed by IG Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa South, Major General Mehr Omar Khan.

During the visit, Minister Naqvi commended the officers and soldiers for their courage, professionalism, and dedication, calling the attackers “ruthless criminals with no regard for humanity or religion.” He was briefed on the thwarted attack and praised the timely intervention that prevented a tragedy similar to the 2014 APS Peshawar incident.
The minister also interacted with the cadets and faculty, acknowledging their resilience and spirit. Announcing plans for extensive renovations at the college, he assured that the institution will provide students with a safe and high-quality learning environment.
Speaking to tribal elders in Wana, Naqvi linked recent terrorist attacks, including the Islamabad Judicial Complex incident, to Afghan-based groups, emphasizing that local residents are not involved. He highlighted Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir’s firm stance against terrorism, stating there will be no negotiations with terrorists.

Minister Naqvi reiterated Pakistan’s resolve against cross-border attacks and described targeting children as a heinous act, praising the security forces as national heroes.
