
At least nine people were killed and 29 injured when confiscated explosives exploded at Nowgam police station in IIOJK. Most victims were policemen and forensic officials examining the explosives. Several injured are in critical condition, and body identification is ongoing.
The explosion was so powerful that some body parts were found 100–200 meters away from the police station. Fire engulfed the compound, and emergency fire teams rushed to the scene. Authorities said the blast involved a pile of previously confiscated explosives.

Local police sources confirmed that most casualties were officers, including forensic staff working on the explosives. Several of the injured are in critical condition, and rescue teams continue to operate at the site.
