
President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday appointed Sahibzada Ahmad Khan as a Member of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) for a three-year term. The Establishment Division also issued an official notification confirming his appointment.

Sahibzada Ahmad Khan is a retired Grade-21 officer of the Pakistan Foreign Service. His appointment comes amid concerns raised by the Auditor General’s office over the FPSC’s failure to include members from the private sector.
During a Public Accounts Committee (PAC) meeting, audit officials highlighted that the absence of private sector representation deprived the FPSC of valuable professional expertise. Instead, two additional members were appointed to vacant seats, which was noted as a violation of the commission’s ordinance.
