
KARACHI – Gold prices witnessed a significant increase on Monday in both domestic and international markets. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of gold in the local market rose by Rs1,300 per tola, reaching Rs423,862. Similarly, 10 grams of gold gained Rs1,115, settling at Rs363,393.
In the international market, gold recorded a gain of $13 per ounce, with the new rate at $4,015 per ounce. This rise comes just two days after a decline of Rs1,600 per tola in local gold prices. Silver prices also saw an uptick, increasing by Rs25 per tola to Rs5,152.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) opened the week on a positive note. The benchmark KSE-100 index rose by 1,169.75 points, or 0.72 percent, to open at 162,801.48 points compared to the previous close of 161,631.73 points.
Investors’ optimism at the start of the business week contributed to early gains across the market, signaling renewed confidence in trading activity.
