CUPERTINO: Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed that the company’s highly anticipated Apple Intelligence, designed to enhance Siri, is on track for release in 2026. Speaking to MSNBC on Thursday, Cook said that development is progressing well and that the AI features are moving forward after previous delays.
Apple had earlier stopped providing timelines for many of its AI initiatives due to repeated setbacks. The announcement signals that the company has finally addressed issues in its Apple Intelligence pipeline, despite not committing to an exact launch date.

The postponement of Siri enhancements was reportedly due to inconsistent performance, with the virtual assistant functioning correctly only about two-thirds of the time. These challenges led to internal blame-shifting and prompted some corporate restructuring to strengthen Apple’s AI efforts.
