LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced new winter school timings for all public and private schools across the province.
According to a notification from the School Education Department, the new timings took effect on October 16, 2025, and will continue until March 31, 2026.
Under the new schedule:

Boys’ schools will run from 8:45 am to 2:45 pm (Monday–Thursday) and close at 12:30 pm on Fridays.

Girls’ schools will operate from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm (Monday–Thursday) and end at 12:15 pm on Fridays.

For double-shift schools:

Morning shift: 8:45 am to 12:45 pm (Mon–Thu), till 12:30 pm on Fridays

Afternoon shift: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (Mon–Thu), till 2:00 pm on Fridays

Morning shift: 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (Mon–Thu), till 12:15 pm on Fridays

Afternoon shift: 12:45 pm to 4:45 pm (Mon–Thu), 1:45 pm to 4:45 pm on Fridays

The department said the revised schedule has been introduced to adjust for seasonal changes and ensure a smooth academic routine during winter. All schools have been instructed to follow the new timings strictly.
