Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday directed the relevant authorities to ensure complete transparency at all stages of the construction of the Jinnah Medical Complex (JMC). He also emphasized strict adherence to the established timelines for the hospital’s development. He issued these directives while chairing a review meeting on the Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Centre. The prime minister said that the Jinnah Medical Complex would be a state-of-the-art facility, providing high-quality medical treatment to the public. During the meeting, the prime minister was briefed on the progress of the project. It was informed that the design consultant for the complex had been selected, while the contract process with the Pakistan Engineering Council was currently underway. The meeting was also informed that advertisements for the selection of experts for third-party validation would be issued soon. Additionally, the federal cabinet has already approved the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the complex. Furthermore, the officials informed the prime minister that the geotechnical study of the project had been completed, while hydrology and seismic studies were expected to be finalized by next month.
