The suspension of e-stamp paper issuance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has caused significant inconvenience to citizens and brought important legal and financial agreements to a standstill. Since October 1, residents have been barred from using traditional stamp papers for official purposes. However, due to the unavailability of e-stamp papers, property transfers, tenancy agreements, affidavits and other legal transactions have been halted. According to sources, the provincial government had recently replaced the old stamp vendor system with an electronic system to streamline and modernize the process. Yet, following its implementation, technical glitches and administrative delays have prevented the issuance of e-stamp papers. Citizens across Peshawar and other districts have complained that they have been visiting offices for several days without success, as no e-stamp papers are being issued. The public has urged the government to immediately resolve the technical issues and ensure the prompt availability of e-stamp papers to restore convenience and normalcy in official procedures.
