
LAHORE– Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has reiterated that all appointments in the province are being made strictly on merit, stressing a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption.
Speaking to participants and faculty members of the National Security and War Course, she said the Punjab government is committed to transparency, good governance, and public welfare. She highlighted that every government decision directly impacts people’s lives, and the guiding principle of governance is service with integrity.
Maryam Nawaz noted that public funds are being spent solely on people’s welfare, with transparency ensured through e-tendering processes. She added that political appointments and nepotism had been eliminated from the province’s system.

Congratulating the armed forces on the success of Operation Bunyanun Marṣoos, she praised Field Marshal Asim Munir’s leadership, while also pointing to improved law and order in Punjab.
The CM highlighted recent achievements, including the province’s largest evacuation during floods using thermal imaging drones to trace victims, agricultural mechanization initiatives, modern cancer treatment facilities with ablation machines, and the import of 15 smog guns to combat pollution.
The visiting delegation, comprising officers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, along with 47 participants from 26 countries including the US, UK, China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UAE, Iran, and South Korea, lauded Punjab’s ongoing public welfare projects.
