Pakistan sends 23rd relief flight with 100 tons aid

Published on: September 22, 2025 4:54 PM

The consignment contained ration bags filled with flour, rice, sweet corn, ready-to-eat meals, cooking oil, and fruit cocktails to ensure quick and effective assistance. With this latest delivery, Pakistan has now sent 2,227 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza across 23 consignments. This milestone demonstrates the country’s dedication to maintaining a steady flow of relief, even as logistical challenges and ongoing violence in the region make operations increasingly complex.

During the send-off ceremony held at the Lahore airport, Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan joined senior officials, NDMA representatives, and Alkhidmat Foundation members to oversee the dispatch. He praised the swift coordination between government agencies and welfare organizations in ensuring timely deliveries. The governor highlighted that such collective efforts show the strength of Pakistan’s solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Governor Khan reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Gaza, pledging to continue every possible effort to provide life-saving aid. He stressed that Pakistan considers the oppressed Muslims of Gaza and Palestine as brothers and sisters, underlining the moral and humanitarian responsibility to assist them. His remarks reflected the country’s deep-rooted ties to the Palestinian cause.

Furthermore, the governor condemned Israel’s ongoing bombardment of civilian areas in Gaza and across Palestine, describing the attacks as a serious violation of humanitarian principles. He urged Islamic nations to unite and take stronger actions to defend Palestinian rights and to pressure for an end to the violence. This renewed call for unity echoed a wider sentiment across the Muslim world.

By sustaining relief operations and amplifying diplomatic calls for justice, Pakistan has positioned itself as a strong advocate for humanitarian aid and peace in the Middle East. The continued dispatch of aid flights highlights the country’s resolve to support Gaza’s people in overcoming devastation and rebuilding their lives amidst conflict.
