
ISLAMABAD – KP Information Adviser Barrister Saif met with Afghan Ambassador Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb in Islamabad to discuss security and regional cooperation. The two held a detailed discussion on peace in the region, cross-border relations, and security challenges facing both Pakistan and Afghanistan.
During the meeting, Barrister Saif highlighted the ongoing security issues in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He emphasized that peace in Pakistan is closely linked to stability in Afghanistan. He also expressed solidarity with the Afghan people, offering prayers for recent earthquake victims and pledging support for affected families.
Barrister Saif briefed the Afghan envoy on peace initiatives under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. He said that both countries must strengthen ties and collaborate for lasting peace. He stressed the importance of reviving traditional tribal jirgas as a conflict-resolution tool.
Both sides agreed on working together to ensure regional development and security. The leaders supported joint efforts to tackle terrorism, improve cross-border coordination, and promote mutual respect in bilateral relations.
Ambassador Shakeeb affirmed Afghanistan’s readiness to cooperate on all peace efforts. He stated that lasting peace in the region serves the shared interests of both nations and called for deeper dialogue and collaboration.
