Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reached Doha on Sunday to participate in the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, called in response to Israel’s recent attack on Qatar.
Upon arrival, Dar was warmly received by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Qatar, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the OIC, and senior officials from the Qatari government, underscoring the summit’s diplomatic importance.
The emergency gathering is being seen as crucial for devising a joint Muslim world strategy to counter Israeli aggression and address the escalating regional situation through collective measures.
Earlier in Doha, Dar held a meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty on the sidelines of the preparatory foreign ministers’ session ahead of the full summit.
Both leaders strongly condemned Israel’s illegal strikes, describing them as violations of sovereignty and international law, while also reaffirming firm support for Palestine and stressing the urgent need for Muslim unity.
The summit is expected to adopt a unified stance, with participating nations exploring coordinated responses to ongoing Israeli actions and pledging greater solidarity with Palestinians in their struggle for justice.
