No compromise on relief for flood victims: Azma

Published on: September 14, 2025 1:41 AM

Punjab Minister for Information and Culture, Azma Bokhari, has said that the Punjab government is ensuring relief and rehabilitation measures in every flood-affected area. She said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is continuously visiting the affected regions and personally reviewing the facilities being provided to the victims. Azma Bokhari said that wherever any administrative negligence or lapse is observed, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz immediately holds the concerned officer accountable. There will be no compromise in the provision of relief to the flood victims.

For the last three weeks, Punjab’s administration, district officers, civil defense, Rescue 1122, Punjab Police, and other departments have been continuously present among the affected people, working day and night in rescue and relief operations. On this occasion, teams of the Pakistan Army and Rangers are also rendering services with a spirit of national duty.

The Minister for Information said that Maryam Nawaz is fulfilling her responsibilities like a compassionate mother and sister. She added that elements doing politics in the name of flood victims are being exposed, while those spreading lies on social media are unaware of the value of human lives and the problems of the victims.

Azma Bokhari said that while some are serving the flood victims day and night, others are busy in political theatrics in their name. The people fully understand who is standing with them in this difficult hour and who is sprinkling salt on their wounds.
